Viscri 32 – White Barn and Blue House – Viscri

Built in 1912 by the Dootz family, and the New Barn, a restored wooden barn from 1869. Restored in 2016 by local craftsmen using traditional materials and methods, the buildings retain their Saxon charm while providing modern comfort. Each room features authentic, restored furniture and handmade details, blending heritage with contemporary design.

Johann’s Room - Once the "good room" for guests, it features a queen-size bed, a traditional drawer bed, and a bathroom with a sculpted bathtub and painted terracotta tiles. Historic elements include an 1818 bench and a painted stove from Medias.
Fräulein Room - A restored Saxon room with a handmade queen-size bed, a traditional "armuroi" wall chest, and tiles from Cisnădioara. The private bathroom includes an authentic Saxon sink.
Tree Room (New Barn) - A romantic attic room with views of a 200-year-old walnut tree. Features include a wooden bowl sink crafted in Sibiu, visible tile roofing, and terracotta accents from Medias.
Sunset Room (New Barn, Twin) - Facing the White Barn, this twin room includes painted coffers, glass tile-lit bathroom, and interiors of handmade bricks and painted tiles.
Romantic Room (New Barn, Triple) - Spacious with garden views, it includes a queen-size bed, a restored single bed, and a bathroom crafted from local materials. Ideal for couples or small families.
